Game rules

The operator reserves the right to change these terms of use at any time and to apply new rules to past offenses (e.g. when users find new ways to cheat). Reference to these game rules is made on the registration form. The game rules are always valid in their most current form and are binding for all players!

This is a translated version of our game rules document. In the case of questions of interpretation, the german version remains authoritative as a rule.

§1 Participation

Participation in this browser game is free of charge. Separate rules may apply to the use of the communication systems (e.g., the forum, the wiki, and the chat) in HEGA: communcation rules. In the event of a violation of the rules, the player's membership may be terminated - the decision lies exclusively with the operator of this browser game. We recommend this game for participants over the age of 16. We strongly advise younger players from participating and reserve the right to exclude players who are too young in order to protect children and young people.

§2 Account

- 2.1 Each participant is only allowed one game account per galaxy and only one forum account in total! Creating or playing more than one account in the same galaxy is prohibited, as is the sharing of an account between two people (AccSharing) and will result in the deletion of the accounts involved in case of violation! - 2.2 If two or more accounts of different players in the same galaxy log in from the same connection without prior notification to the support (and following the corresponding instructions, see §3) or without activated sitting mode, it will be assumed that there is a multi-account and all accounts concerned will be banned or deleted. - 2.3 If the administrators have a reasonable assumption that such a violation (see 2.1 and 2.2) by a player who has not yet been warned was not intentional, we reserve the right to issue only a one-time warning in conjunction with a possible more temporary ban instead of deleting the accounts. - 2.4 Penalties for serious offenses (e.g. particularly nasty insults or bypassing scripts) are pronounced against the player, not against the account, and are therefore executed galaxy-wide. This also applies to the forum!

§3 Play together

It is not allowed that several independent persons permanently play from the same connection, network or the same computer in the same galaxy without having informed the support about it before and having received a release from the support. It must be stated why it comes to the permanent simultaneous use of several players on the same connection (example: family). The two accounts must then belong to different factions so that no unfair advantages arise. Any interaction in the game itself (trade, attacks, etc.) is forbidden. Excluded from this (i.e. allowed) is communication and the exchange of information. For short-term overlaps (<72h) there is also the sitting mode, which should be used for this.

§4 Liability and ownership

Every player is responsible for his account! Should an account be used illegally by another player through his own fault (e.g. passing on the access data), liability and responsibility on the part of the game operators is fundamentally excluded. The accounts and their contents are the property of the operators of this game. The game accounts and forum accounts as well as their entire content may not be passed on, sold or auctioned to other players upon termination of participation. On the part of the players there are no claims against the operators of the websites regarding the availability of the service or the replacement of earned benefits!

§5 Data basis for enforcing the rules

Only data that can be verified beyond doubt by the supporters can be used as a basis for enforcing the rules. verifiable data can be used as a basis for enforcing the rules.

§6 Inactivity/vacation

Players who are inactive for more than 28 days will be automatically and irrevocably deleted. This rule also applies to players on vacation mode, unless the player announces his vacation, which lasts longer than 28 days, to the support beforehand (ingame via the support button). When notifying, the time absent must be specified with a return date. Accounts will be kept for a maximum of 12 weeks. New registrations in the game will be deleted after 24 hours, if the registration is not confirmed and logged in at least once within this time.

§7 bug using

Noob protection, sitting, pushing (resources, spaceships and other), bashing, protection money, podrace, sabacc and many other game functions are controlled and restricted by scripts. Information about some of these functions can be found in the wiki and the forum. Bypassing (even trying to) or exploiting a bug (even a previously unknown one) of the scripts of the scripts is forbidden and leads to a punishment appropriate to the severity of the exploited bug, from retraction of the received objects over temporary ban up to irrevocable account deletion! Of course, this also includes functions of the game that are not explicitly listed here.

§8 Accounts without game intention

We reserve the right to explicitly block accounts that clearly do not have their own game intention, but only serve to provide advantages to another player that he could not achieve through his own account alone. The central characteristic of the "not recognizable own game intention" is an extremely passive game style with little own expansion, often also characterized by regular U-mode and interaction with only a single (or few) other players. A non-exhaustive list of examples includes repeatedly trading resources unilaterally (especially to expand Jabba's sales limit), regularly "caching" fleet to save upkeep and/or for zone manipulation, and of course allowing targeted attacks by only one player.

§9 Grey areas

Gray areas are game situations in which it is questionable whether a certain action or omission is still in the spirit of the inventor. If you are unsure whether your strategy is really allowed, then ask before via a ticket! Exploiting unauthorized (even previously unknown) gray areas without asking beforehand via ticket is punishable!

§10 Changes of playername, alliance name or faction

Renaming of our player account can be requested by reporting to the game support via ticket. This will cost credits equal to the player's total score. Renaming of alliances can be requested by a member with leader rights and the member will pay the cost in credits equal to the average score of the alliance. Except for rare special cases like unintentional typos, renaming is only allowed once every 12 months. Faction and or galaxy changes are basically not carried out!

§11 Fair play

In the interest of fair play, players who notice rule violations of other players (e.g. bypassing scripts or multiaccounting) are requested to report this to the support.

§12 Attacks on the game, forum or servers

Attacks on the game, the forum or the servers will be reported to the authorities if necessary and prosecuted. This also includes any kind of programs, scripts or functions, that interfere with the game or interfere with its normal operation. Players who are caught doing this will lose their account and the right to participate in Hidden Empire!

§13 Proxies/anonymization

The use of proxies (also company proxies!) or anonymization services to disguise the IP address is forbidden! The IP addresses of the servers will be banned and the accounts deleted. This is also important for you, because the usage can lead to IP overlaps, which would be displayed as multiaccounting and punished accordingly.

§14 data privacy

For the preservation of the game rules and for the provision of possibly legally required information, all processes are logged ingame. The data is stored in accordance with the law and automatically and irrevocably deleted after an expiring period. Personal data, which can be concluded to the person in real life or similar, are not consciously logged.
